Inkjet cartridges are purchased by consumers and businesses for their inkjet printers from retailers worldwide. The three basic types of inkjet cartridges available for purchase are the brand name ink cartridges, compatible brand inkjets and remanufactured inkjet cartridges.
The brand name inkjet cartridges are the cartridges that are made by the printer manufacuturer. They use all new parts and plastics in the manufacturing process and these ink cartridges are typically the most expensive of the three options.
The new compatible brand inkjets are the cartridges that are made by a third party manufacturer and do not carry the brand name of the printer manufacturer. These ink cartridges are also made with all new parts and plastics and are usually much less in price than their OEM counterparts.
The remanufactured inkjet cartridge is an OEM inkjet cartridge that has been remanufactured and is usually somewhere in the middle in terms of pricing.
